30TH APRIL, 2026
LETTER TO
PARENTS/ GUARDIANS
Dear
Parent/Guardian
Greetings to you
all from Divine Mercy SS, Kiko, Kabarole. Today Thursday 30th April,
2026, the school officially closed for term I, 2026 Holidays. All students
except S.4 and S.6 have left to go home for the holidays. Please receive your
child back from school.
Term I, 2026 has
been a vibrant school term with a lot of activities ranging from academic
success of 2025 National Exams, to Co-curricular activities.
1) Term I, 2026
witnessed the academic successes of 2025 National Exams. First to appear on the
stage of academic success was the UCE 2025 results for our Candidates of S.4.
The key features of this success was the improved quality scores of A, B and C
in the various subjects.
The table below
shows the number of scores.

The above
performance of last year has motivated the present S.4 Candidates to work hard
for better results. Each Candidate has vowed to score at least an A in any
subject. Parents of S.4, discuss this with your child to see if this can be
realized.
The A’ level
results were equally excellent, with the best student scoring 20 points
followed by 19 and 17 points respectively. Many of our Candidates were able to
obtain at least two principle passes in the subjects they sat for. The table
below gives the summary of scores for the 56 Candidates.

From the above we
expect at least 30 to access University and Tertiary institutions.
2) In
Co-curricular activities, the USSA district tournament was the most exciting.
We fielded both boys and girls football teams and all the two teams were
Champions at district level. We got two trophies at once.
STUDENTS’
DISCIPLINE
a) As a measure to
control students’ discipline, the Board has approved a revised school rules and
regulations. This was on 12th March, 2026. This has been put into
effect immediately.
b) Six students
(boys) misbehaved in the dormitories. They were disrespectful to the Patrons.
Their cases were handled by the Board Disciplinary Committee. They were served
with last warning. Parents are encouraged to teach their children good manners
and respect to elders.
